As part of our school day, each Wednesday, we intend to use the extended outdoor environment and forest for Forest School sessions. During these sessions children are encouraged to develop independence skills, improve their decision making and raise their self esteem through small achievable tasks. These sessions are child led and children are encouraged to make choices and follow their own learning.
We will do Forest School sessions in all weathers except exceptionally cold or windy conditions. The children will need to come to school on these days bringing wellies, a waterproof coat and trousers (if they have any), in a bag. They will also need gloves, a hat, a scarf and two pairs of socks. This will ensure your child stays warm and dry.
Mrs Kynaston is a trained Level 3 Forest School Leader and will be leading these sessions.
We feel that the children will thoroughly enjoy these sessions.
The first of these sessions is on Wednesday 1st October so please come prepared.
