Trust Finance and Business Manager – 37 hours per week Full Time

Leadership of Finance and Co-ordination of Business Operations

Location

Empower Trust offices (location to be confirmed within Shrewsbury/North Shropshire) with regular visits to Trust academies

Salary

£36,379 - £41,967 (points 41 – 47)

Start Date

As soon as possible but May 1st2018 latest.

Applications are invited for this important senior leadership position in our exciting new multi academy trust. We are looking to employ a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced person to provide financial expertise and business leadership. By joining us at the start of our journey the successful applicant will play a key role in shaping and developing the Trust.

Key Purpose: To work in partnership with the CEO to provide high quality professional leadership and management of the finance, personnel and premises/facilities functions of the Trust and its academies. The post holder will be a key member of the Executive Group and will work closely with the CEO and all academies within the Trust.

Main duties and key responsibilities:

  • Prepare the annual budgets for the academies as part of the Trust’s three-year financial plan

  • Devise appropriate accounting procedures to control, monitor and disburse the Trust and academy budgets, including routine financial arrangements

  • Supply information to support the preparation of the year-end financial statements through liaison with appointed accountants/auditors and to reach sign off and filing of annual Financial Statements[J1] in accordance with applicable regulations, company law and other guidance

  • Prepare financial reports, estimates and completion of financial returns as required by the Trust Board, the ESFA, Department of Education, HMRC and any other group for which this information is required

  • Support the CEO in commissioning services that support the efficient operation of the Trust, e.g. IT, audit, payroll, HR, premises, Health and Safety

  • Maintain own skills and professional competencies and keep abreast of current and developing legislation.

  • Any other duties reasonably deemed necessary by the CEO.


 

Casual Cleaning Assistant Required

 

A Casual Cleaning Assistant is required to be available to cover at short notice any unexpected or planned absence of one of our Cleaning Team.

We are looking for a hard working and reliable person to clean from 3.30 pm – 6.00 pm. 

Pay for this role is £7.90 per hour.

Casual Clerical Assistant Required

 

A Casual Clerical Assistant is required to be available to cover at short notice any unexpected or planned absence of one of our Admin/Office Team.

Based in the school office we are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable person to be on reception and perform admin tasks as instructed. The hours could fall at any time between 8.00am and 5.00pm.

Pay for this role is £8.09 per hour.

The ability to communicate at ease with stakeholders and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

Casual Lunchtime Supervisor Required

 

A Casual Lunchtime Supervisor is required to be available to cover at short notice any unexpected or planned absence of one of our Lunchtime Supervisors.

We are looking for a friendly, caring and reliable person to supervise the children at lunchtime from 12.00 pm – 1.00 pm or 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm.

Pay for this role is £7.90 per hour.

The ability to communicate at ease with stakeholders and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
