Part of the session will be outdoors, so dress appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions.
During the session we will explore ideas for whole class sessions, recipes for healthy camp fire cooking which can be prepared and eaten during a short session, sustainable use of school grounds and effective management of heavily used forest school spaces.

Session 2 – Effective learning in Forest school
Venue: St Peter’s Learning Centre

We will look at planning for larger and mixed age groups, effective use of adults during sessions, observation strategies and the use of digital media.  We will explore creative links with curriculum areas and identify areas to develop during the skill share session on day 3.

Session 3 –Skill share session
Venue: St Peter’s Learning Centre

As a base for the creation of a new forest school cluster, this session will be an opportunity to share and participate in activities based on a theme chosen during the previous session.  We could look at a particular curriculum area or develop cross curricular ideas.  This will be a platform for sharing brilliant ideas to reinvigorate our forest school sessions.
