Content:
In this course participants will explore how high levels of certain skills and qualities at middle Leadership level can have a major impact on the work and outcomes of an organisation. Through a mix of input and practical activity participants will engage in a process of learning, self-analysis, practice of new behaviours and individual target-setting. Participants will leave with a clear plan of action prioritising those specific skills and qualities which they feel will further enhance their current Leadership performance.
Session 1: Exploring the challenges for Middle Leaders in the current educational climate
Session 2: Analysing current strengths with regard to Leadership skills and qualities
- which are my preferred Leadership styles?
- How well do they serve me?
Session 3: Focussing on the key Leadership skills for raising performance
- Motivating and holding to account in a positive way
Session 4: The Role of Emotional Intelligence in developing these skill
Session 5: Target-setting and practising the skills of Active Listening
