Chris Gajewski – School Improvement Consultant
Chris Gajewski has had a broad range of experience within schools and local authorities nationally as a head teacher, school improvement partner and adviser. He is currently working as a freelance school improvement consultant and is also a lead assessor for the ‘Challenge Award’ which involves him assessing good and outstanding primary and secondary schools throughout the country to review the on-going quality or provision by observing learning, scrutinising work, interviewing staff, parents, governors and pupils and reviewing a broad range of evidence. His work is highly regarded by schools as he quickly establishes positive and effective working relationships through honest challenge and measured professional support.
This session will review the framework for school inspection and the inspection handbook. The role of governors throughout the process will be explored and there will be an opportunity for governors to reflect on the questions Ofsted may ask governors as key partners in school evaluation and development.
Attendance at the session will support governors in their preparation for Ofsted and enhance on going school partnership over time.
